Fees
The fee for psychological services is $225 per session. The Australian Psychological Society recommended rate is $260 per session. Sessions are approximately 50 minutes long.
After hours or weekend appointments are $250 per session.
You could be eligible for a Medicare Rebate of $128.50 per session (up to 10 per calendar year) if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
If you have Private Health Insurance you may be eligible to receive refunds for psychological services. Please phone your insurance provider to discuss your entitlements.
For those experiencing financial hardship or hold concession cards, I am able to offer reduced rates and can discuss this with you as needed.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However, if you are eligible you could see your GP to get a Mental Health Care Plan which gives you a $126.50 Medicare Rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
If you are seeking psychological treatment for vaginismus or sexual/pelvic pain and your physiotherapist has referred you to me, then it can be useful (but not necessary) for me to have a summary of your treatment with your physiotherapist to allow for continuity of care.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy is an individual process and so length of therapy varies from person to person. I will discuss this with you early in our work as the length of therapy can depend somewhat on your goals, treatment needs and availability.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please inform me via phone or email 48 hours prior to your appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling of appointments that occur within 24 hours of your scheduled session, as well as non-attendance without notice will incur a $175 fee.
