As a qualified registered Clinical Psychologist, I provide integrative individually tailored therapy for my clients. I take a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental approach to therapy with the aim to empower your individual strengths to help you reach your goals and develop a greater understanding about yourself.
Depending on your needs, I am able to provide brief and/or longer-term psychological therapy for adolescents and adults who experience:
depression and other mood related issues
anxiety and worry
sexual difficulties e.g. vaginismus, erectile dysfunction, low desire, etc
sexuality and gender related issues
personality disorders
self-esteem and/or issues relating to sense of self and self-development
life transitions and adjustment difficulties
Training and Qualifications
As part of my training I have completed my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology through QUT where my thesis examined the effectiveness of vaginismus treatment. Previously I have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science.
I continue to engage in professional development as part of providing quality care for my clients and currently am completing my Graduate Diploma in Sexology through Curtin University.
Therapeutic Approaches
My practice stems from an integrative therapeutic approach as I believe that therapy is a collaborative process which needs to be tailored to suit you, your goals and your therapy needs.
As many people have never engaged in therapy, I will discuss the process openly with you and what will be involved so that you’re able to make an informed choice about your treatment.
I draw from the following therapeutic approaches:
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy
Dialetical-Behavioural Therapy
Schema Therapy
Mindfulness
